Connecticut is expected to receive $6.4 million in federal public safety grants that were withheld during the Trump administration. In a statement, Attorney General William Tong said the Biden administration has rescinded conditions placed on federal law enforcement funding to states.
The Trump administration had required states and cities to notify federal immigration officials when an undocumented person was detained on even minor violations.
