Police in Providence, Rhode Island say nine people are wounded after a mass shooting Thursday evening.
The Providence Journal reports three of the injuries are serious. Police say the shooting was targeted in the southeastern part of the city. The two groups of people involved in the shooting were known to law enforcement.
Police say this is the largest mass shooting in the city's history.
