State Warns Of Unhealthy Air Quality Due To Western Wildfires

Unhealthy air quality in the state continues as smoke from western wildfires passes over. The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection issued an alert for the entire state Tuesday and is encouraging residents to limit outdoor activities. DEEP issued a similar alert yesterday for the Northwestern area of the state. The department says elevated levels of fine particles were trapped in the lower atmosphere overnight and have been slow to diffuse.
