Improving Design Flaws

To complain about modern design is, often, to feel ungrateful. As comedian Louis C.K. says, everything is amazing and nobody is happy. Having said that, at least once a day, I plug my smart phone into its charger, and quite often the connecter that goes into the tiny slot is not right side up. And sometimes it is right side up, but it doesn't pop in right away, and I'm reluctant for force it, so I turn it the other way, the wrong way, and fiddle with it for a while and then reverse it once again.

I know:  the important thing is, I have a smart phone. I was born in an age of No G technology. What I have now is amazing and I should be grateful. But a civilization that can produce smart phones should be able to make a little plug whose insertion process is intuitive and fool-proof. And why are the USB slots on my computer vertical, thus defeating the little pitchfork symbol that shows you right side up on that? More design questions on today's show.
