Protein Sciences, the Meriden-based vaccine maker, is setting its sights on the Zika virus.
The company, which is best known for its Flublok product, says it has entered a partnership with a foundation and a biotech company from Argentina, which will help fund and develop a potential new vaccine.
Protein Sciences says it's already been working on a Zika vaccine since February, but the new partnerships will accelerate its progress.
Webster Profits Dip
The parent of Waterbury’s Webster Bank has seen a slight fall in earnings in the first quarter, saying its expansion into the Boston market has added to expenses.
