LISTEN: Connecticut Welcoming Philip Morris Relocation

  ADVANCE CT CEO ON THE ARRIVAL OF PHILIP MORRIS: "THE ASSETS WE HAVE TO OFFER HERE ARE BEING RECOGNIZED."

Philip Morris International (PMI) says it is moving its headquarters from New York to Connecticut next summer.  The global cigarette maker will bring about 200 jobs to the nutmeg state.  The economy advocacy group Advance C-T was involved very early in the negotions.  Advance CT C-E-O, Peter Denious, joined "All Things Considered" to talk about how this happened, what he thinks PMI see's in the nutmeg state, and why he feels confident that PMI is working to move past its traditional cigarette business.
