Connecticut Public has an immediate opening for a passionate marketer who is interesting in understanding audience affinities, motivations, and behaviors and enjoys discovering insights that drive effective messaging and results.  We’re looking for someone with a creative mindset, excellent project management, writing and communication skills.

The Marketing Coordinator can anticipate working closely with all members of the team to support the implementation of brand and marketing campaigns that promote the organization, programming, membership, and special projects. Additionally, s/he will write copy, coordinate campaigns, manage and traffic assets to Content, DSB, and Membership, as needed to implement campaigns.

Investigative Reporter (The Accountability Project)

Accountability of public and private events essential to our democracy? This reporter working with our investigative editor and data journalist with work as a tight knit team but also work hand in hand with our journalists across all disciplines and departments — audio, video, visuals and digital of the 40+ person Content team.  

The art of storytelling is at the core of all of the Connecticut Public’s initiatives. Those initiatives have exploded in the last several years, as the organization has pursued a bold new direction within the turbulent news industry: transforming a significant portion of its corporate headquarters and staff into a journalism focused organization. 

 

Radio Producer I (Part-time)

Looking for part-time, collaborative work in support of Connecticut Public’s award-winning radio programs?  We’re looking for a part-time radio producer who can support production for our new weekly program, Disrupted.  Every week, the program explores how we move through disruptions, including the global pandemic, police violence, and racial inequities, to something that’s stronger, more inclusive, and more effective. 

The producer would also be familiar with our flagship daily radio hows and/or new weekly programs (Where We Live, Colin McEnroe Show, Audacious, and Seasoned.)  This would include producing, writing, and editing mostly for our pre-taped show, Disrupted, but potentially for live shows, when needed.

Find your purpose in being part of a mission-driven public media organization that strives to be the essential source for truth and ideas and seeks to connect the citizens of Connecticut to their state and communities.  The ideal candidate is a team player who is willing to pitch in and help whenever needed on a small team with a lot of energy, creative, enthusiasm, ambition, and responsibility.  The part-time producer can expect to remain remote during COVID; however, when the Company deems it safe and healthy to do so, this position is expected to work on-site.

Connecticut Public has an immediate opening for an experienced, ambitious and resourceful Investigative Editor to create and lead a three-person team dedicated to producing high-quality, high-impact local investigative journalism.
