"Connecticut First" is a nightly news series, beginning in January 2014, focused on statewide local content. It is an initiative of Connecticut Public Television, working in conjunction with WNPR.

The series will use local WNPR news reporters and CPTV videographers to report on statewide news stories for air each weekday evening, immediately preceding the highly respected, national public television news series, "Newshour."
