Web/Digital Properties

CPBN-web-iconConnecticut Public is continually developing a growing portfolio of digital platforms that expand upon programming from Television, Radio, and the Learning Lab, while delivering compelling web-only content, and enabling our audiences to connect with us — and with each other — in all kinds of new ways.

PRIMARY WEBSITES:

CTpublic.org – Connecticut Public – Media for the Curious.

WNPR.org – Connecticut Public Radio

CPTV.org – Connecticut Public Television, including CPTV Kids, Spirit, and Create

CTLearningLab.org – Education services and programs

nenc.news – The New England News Collaborative

foodschmooze.org – The Faith Middleton Food Schmooze®

SPECIAL PROJECT WEBSITES:

thekate.tv – The Kate

A CPTV Original series, The Kate presents bold performers with something to say. By way of delicate beauty or razor-sharp wit, these artists captivate audiences with a revelatory charisma and irresistible charm akin to the feisty spirit of our muse, Katharine Hepburn.

The Island Next Door

Hurricane Maria tore through the island of Puerto Rico in September 2017 – taking out power lines, destroying homes, disrupting industries, raking the island’s forests, and displacing families. Since then, Connecticut Public Radio’s reporters have covered the aftermath of the storm both from the mainland and from the island’s streets and mountains because – with 300,000 state residents who claim island roots – Hurricane Maria is a local story.

Extra Credit

A collaborative journalism project from Connecticut Public Radio and The Connecticut Mirror, Extra Credit is about how Connecticut government works, what it means to function in a democratic society, and the importance of understanding both our rights — and our responsibilities — as citizens.

Thinkalong.org

Using trusted source materials from PBS, NPR and local public media stations, Thinkalong is a free program for classrooms that helps students think critically about media, develop informed opinions, and practice respectful, civil discourse.

Sharing Connecticut

Local stories that highlight and celebrate the people and places that contribute to the pulse and spirit of our state.

The Beaker

Connecticut Public Radio reporter Patrick Skahill’s science and technology blog.
