Pandemic Hockey Starts Soon

The American Hockey League is set to start its season next month. The Hartford Wolf Pack and Bridgeport Sound Tigers both play in the AHL. They're the top affiliates for the NHL's New York Rangers and New York Islanders. The first game is scheduled for February 5th -- but further details were not announced.

The National Women's Hockey League will play its season in a controlled environment in Lake Placid, New York. The Connecticut Whale and five other teams will play a condensed regular season and playoffs beginning later this month.
