Complaints over wage theft and other labor violations are piling up while legislative proposals that would have increased staff failed to pass.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration put out an analysis saying that solar electricity generation would be “briefly” limited around the country, although it would be more noticeable in areas of 100% totality.

Labor advocates are pushing for a New Haven ordinance which would suspend or revoke the food and beverage licenses of cafés, bars and restaurants that commit labor violations, like wage theft.

While Gov. Ned Lamont gained voters in the suburbs and shoreline, he picked up far fewer votes in some major cities, largely because of lower turnout.
