This is episode three, and it's the first we're really talking about the actual team, the actual baseball, the actual wins and losses.
And I'll say this right at the beginning here:
The Yard Goats are... not good. So far, anyway.
They've won less than forty percent of their games. They've been outscored by more than a run per game. And they've spent the first five weeks of the season bouncing into and out of last place in their division, the Eastern Division of the Eastern League.
It's not clear, though, that it really matters to anyone. Or that it should.
